Shortly after that, the Midwife invited me to assist her on some other local births and before long, I was offered an Apprenticeship. Me? A Midwife? Really?!?! I thought long and hard about it, and in June of 2007, I began my midwifery apprenticeship. It was an amazing ride, and I witnessed and learned so much. We were busy and getting busier....thanks to Ricki Lake! In January of 2009, I completed my last catch as an official apprentice, and in June was offered to be a Midwifery Intern and Doula at CHOICE. I gladly accepted the offer and in September of 2010, received my certification as a CPM. I am currently a CPM, Monitrice, and trained Placenta Encapsulator!
My other hobbies include photography, knitting, having coffee with friends, and of course watching my kids grow. My kids are now 8, 10, and 13 and active with soccer, enjoy skiing, and running.
